Field Poll Shows Voter Support Falters for Dramatic Pension Changes

Statement from Dave Low, chairman of Californians for Retirement Security, on the latest Field Poll on pensions:

"This poll shows that voters are uneasy about radical pension cuts such as those being discussed in Sacramento to reduce retirement security for firefighters, school employees, teachers, police officers and other public workers. There is strong support for common-sense improvements to end abuses of the pension system, many of which we support, but not for a dramatic overhaul that will undermine collective bargaining."
